Capstone Final Reflection My
Capstone Final Reflection My
1. In the process of completing your Capstone Project, what did you learn about your subject? What did
you learn about your skill set? What did you learn about yourself?
When conducting my Capstone project, I learned lots of things about my subject which is Anatomy and
Physiology 12. I learned that there are lots of little muscles in the body such as the medial head in the triceps
which can be a determining factor for lifts such as bench press as the medial head is responsible for the
extension of the elbow. Sometimes, smaller muscles are more significant than their larger counterparts. I
learned that I have a good set of problem-solving skills, for example, during the process of recording my
videos, the camera fell multiple times due to bad placement and other factors; to combat this, I used critical
thinking and problem-solving skills to instantly think of a solution and use props such as dumbbells, and water
bottles to hold up the camera. About myself, I learned that I am determined to get something, my time
window was closing to finish my project and had to sacrifice other things such as call in sick from work to get
the project done.
2. How is your project relevant to you? How is it relevant to the school? How is it relevant to the
community?
My chosen focus for this project was around fitness, I am very passionate about fitness such as lifting weights
and playing a variety of sports ranging from basketball to rugby. I also wanted to showcase my knowledge as I
am very informed on the topic surrounding weightlifting etc. I believe my project is relevant to the school as
everyone wants to be healthy and fit, especially going into senior years, it is important to maintain your health
with the academic load. Studies have shown that maintaining proper health is crucial to excel academically. It
is relevant to the community as obesity rates are at an all-time high and obesity is the sole cause of numerous
health problems such as type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Moreover, being healthy and fit leads to an
overall better lifestyle which is crucial in today’s stressful society.
DO NOT PROCASINATE! These 3 words are the only advice I have for future Capstone students. Procrastination
is a bad habit I picked up in my earlier schooling years and it has done nothing but provide misery to me, my
advice to future students would also to be utilize the class time that your teacher has given you because you
say that you will do something when you get home but never end up doing it until 1 day from the due date. In
order to excel in your academics in Capstone Project, my final advice would be to utilize your time well and
build good time management skills.
