Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum Scope and Sequence

2017/2018
First Semester - Fundations Daily Activities
The first semester focuses on introducing and practicing the letter names and their corresponding sounds.
The activities are conducted in a whole-group setting with all students sitting on a carpet. The entire lesson
likely takes approximately ten minutes.

Second Semester - Fundations Daily Activities
Second semester continues to practice the letter names and corresponding sounds with the whole class.
Instruction also introduces and practices letter formation during whole group and small groups. Every child
should receive both whole group and small group instruction daily, with no more than six in a small group.
