INTRODUCTION

Nowadays, many young people are enjoying playing "online games"


such as mobile legends, league of legends and many more. But why are
so many of us interested in such games and how does it affect the daily
activities of young people? Is it good for the people who play it and to
what extent should it be limited?
What exactly are online games? An online game is a video game
that is either partially or primarily played via the Internet or any other
computer network available. Online games are ubiquitous on modern
gaming platforms, including PCs, consoles. and mobile devices, and
covers many genres, including first-person shooters, strategy games and
massive multiplayer online role-playing.
Symptoms, Causes and Effects of Video Game Addict Although
it has not yet been recognized by the American Medical Association as a
diagnosable disorder, video game addiction is a real problem for many
people. According to the University of New Mexico, recent studies
indicate that 6 to 15 percent of all players show signs that could be
described as addiction. Although this disease can have significant
consequences on those who suffer from it, its signs and symptoms are
sometimes very difficult to identify. Are There Different Types of Video
Game Addiction? There are two main types of video games and
therefore two main types of video game addiction. Common video
games are

generally designed to be played by a single player and includes a clear


goal or mission, such as rescuing a princess. Addiction to these games is
often associated with completing that mission or beating a high score or
preset standard.
PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

This study aims to gather the researcher information about the effects
of playing online games on adolescents. The information gathered can
be used to generate concrete information to educate and awaken the eyes
of young people to the negative effects of gadgets and online games.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY


•In Youth- this study will help raise awareness among young people
about the evils that can be caused by playing too much computer or
online games. The study wants to find out if the youth's perspective on
the importance of education and the short-term pleasure that comes from
playing computer or online games is still balanced
•To Parents- this research will help provide information and ideas to
guide and discipline their children in a way that they will not feel your
advice and exhortation that will lead to rebellion..
•In GOVERNMENT- this study can be used to control the growing
number of out of school youth in our country by controlling and
enacting laws aimed at protecting young people. The data in this study
can be used to raise awareness of the majority about Online game
addiction.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS
This research entitled EFFECT OF ONLINE GAMES ON THE
YOUTH OF BARANGAY SAN ISIDRO it delimits itself on the scope
particularly on just the range of the effects of online games to young
children. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of "Online
games" on the youth of the modern era. In this study the readers will
know how and what are the causes of it whether the family are the
problems or the peers who encourage them to play. The study will also
show its impact on the emotional, social and mental health of young
people who are obsessed with it.
In modern times, social media and peer pressure have a big
influence on it. The researcher wants to show and analyze the impact of
young people who are encouraged to play online games on various
aspects of their lives.
BACKROUND OF THE STUDY
The extent to which technology can help our lives. Because of
technology, transactions, communication and so on are faster. The pace
of life has become even faster because of technology, messages no
longer go through letters or telegrams because chat on the internet is a
modern method such as texting. It can be said that our civilization has
come a long way. introduction the growth of technology has been even
faster due to the advent of the Internet. The internet is the interconnected
network of computers that can be used by the public around the world.
The data is transmitted through packet stitching using the predominant
standard that so far, the data or information has been very much covered
by the internet. Most of us today use the internet to base the information
we need. As a result, checking the internet has become more practical
than reading a book. introduction due to the wide scope of the intenet,
various ideas also started to arise, you can watch your favorite show,
listen to downloaded songs and more. Today, we spend a lot of time on
the internet because of information entertainment. Introduction The use
of the internet is becoming more and more fun. Online games are born.
(According to Marison, 2011) , especially with young people. It is
natural for young people to play, it improves their body and mind. But
the conversation is different
when it comes to playing online games. Presenting a problem in this
study, the researchers wanted to know the following,

does playing online games affect the health of young people, how much
time do young people soak themselves in playing online games, What
online games do they often play. The purpose of this study is to find out
how playing online games affects the health of young people, to
determine how long or how long young people immerse themselves in
playing online games, to determine what online games are. popular with
young people today.
