    HOW TO GET A MINNESOTA

    NURSING LICENSE
    To Receive a License by Examination in
    Minnesota you need to:
    You do not need a Social Security Number.

    COMPLETE THE APPLICATION


    1 (FEE: $105)

    Complete within 1 year

    CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK


    2 (FEE: $33.25)
    The Board will send you a fingerprint packet via
    email

    CREDENTIALS EVALUATION AND


    3 PROGRAM COMPLETION
    For internationally educated applicants only
    Submit a Program Completion Confirmation
    from your nursing school.
    Submit one of the following:
    CGFNS
    CES Professional Report ($350)
    Educational Equivalency Report (Fee: $165)

    ENGLISH PROFICIENCY EXAM.


    4 CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

    TOEFL
    IELTS
    CaMLA

    SUBMIT PASSING NCLEX SCORE

    score to meet the requirements (must be within
    the last 2 years).
    Do NOT accept score transfers
    Licenses expire on your birthday every 2 years
    Initial licenses are sent as hard copies. Renewals
