Production Meeting #3

Linda, Erik McGinnis, Adam Hellewell, Marinda Maxfield, Dena, Lindsey Stephens, Becky
Jeanne Knowles (via phone call); Paige Wilson (appearance towards the end), Becca Rhodes
and Gary the Producer(briefly walking in)
Notes For All
● MANY TBDs are waiting on the board to talk
● We are still looking for the following roles:
○ Woman - ensemble role
○ Man (possibly getting Scott) - ensemble role
○ Boy
○ Girl (Adam to reach out to a small-looking adult - Izzy Page)
● Nothing more in terms of casting otherwise we will have to find doubles unless anyone is
willing to be single-cast
● DISCOUNT CODES: TinyTim for $3 off (public); Scrooge for $4 off (Used by
cast/production team)
● The production team gets 2 tickets to this show (most likely) - just call and email to get
● PRODUCER PREVIEW is on the 22nd of November!
● We would like to have 2 days of tech, the Friday and Saturday
○ For tech, we would like the bones of lights and sound, including mics, with maybe
costumes if possible
● December 7th, our final dress night, is the Hopebox Gala for all of the Wall of Hope
recipients; it will basically be an extra show night!
● The last day before we run and clean (everything taught by) is November 11th

● Headshot day to be figured out in the next few days
Producer:
● The barrels and tables that are in the corner of the rehearsal studio can be taken back to
where they came from
● Introduce props and costumes to their managers to look through Hopebox’s stock

● If we want Showstoppers Seniors to see the show we need to pick a new date earlier
than the gala
● Erik - Meet with Marinda to see scenic elements she wants
● Get Becky a conductor score

Director:
● Linda is in talks to figure out if we can add Fridays and Saturdays, should be done within
2 days
● Meet with Erik to see scenic elements you want
● Shared the set and blocking concept again

Music Director:
● We can use the stage when Into the Woods is not going to run things at the same time
● Becky said good to teach everyone you need “Abundance and Charity”
● No longer need to copy
● Thank you for updating cast list document

Choreography:
● Linda would like more information from you on your mother to help with the choice for
the Wall of Hope recipient decision, just a bit more of a story
● Figuring out movements with “Abundance and Charity” and who is wanted in it
● Thinking of incorporating a moment in “Link by Link” using bedsheets as restraints and
making a maid pole
● The Fezziwig’s Ball cut is on page 36-37 (in bound script)
● Found Conductor Score onlien

Scenic:
● Dena can paint! Can help with the clock on the ground!
● There are not a lot of always-on stage elements, most things can be built and brought
on; most will be painting walls and floor
● We have a few options for set builders
○ Tanea (apologize for bad spelling if not spelled right) and Scott as a team

● Presented renderings, Marinda has been going off of them, can be rerendered if needed
● We can get creative with the couch that we might want - Victorian-style

Costumes:
● Dena can do wigs
● Pablo’s wife can do makeup
● Maybe the ensemble can be distinguished with wigs
● Good support for wigs
● The promo photo date is to be decided after Friday
● Send out digital version of costume form to be sent to new people

Lighting:

Props:
● We have a props database - meet with the props manager to get access and look
through it; will have a tour later
● We could rig lights on an old book to light up
● You should have been added to Paige’s Pinterest with the color scheme (lived in
Victorian, with rich = neutral and poor = muted Christmas)
● Thinking of incorporating a moment in “Link by Link” using bedsheets as restraints and
making a maid pole

● Catch Aurelia up
● Share with the cast about discount codes and getting tickets to 9-5
● Keep producer in loop about any interpersonal conflicts in the cast
