SORCEROUS ORIGIN: CRYOMANCER (REVISED) ome people are born with the ability to ‘manipulate the power of ice and snow, while others are cursed with it. Either way, sorcerers who wield such power are known as ctyomancers, and they truly have ice in their veins. Some cryomancers retreat to the snowy seclusion of the mountains, living comfortable, solitary lives amid a neverending winter. Others venture out into a world that fears their frigid power in an effort to prove they are worthy of respect by performing great deeds, While some sorcerers are known to be passionate hotheads, cryomancers tend to be calm and collected, attempting to approach each new problem with cold logic. As ‘a resull, many cryomancers have a frigid, aloof demeanor that some find off-putting, and even the friendliest cryomancers can unknowlingly project an unwelcoming aura-when a ceryomancer enters a room, the temperature noticeably drops, a few degrees. Experienced eryomancers know that there is a calm, serene power in the icy stillness of the winter, and they seek to find that stillness within themselves and channel it through their magic. Tapping into the frozen power of winter allows cexyomancers to perform stunning feats of fey magic, and those who master the power in their blood are able to unlock powerful arcane secrets. (CRYOMANCER FEATURES Sorcerer Level Feature Ist One with the Winter, Bitter Cold 6th Cold Comfort, Cold Fire 4th Winter's Aura 18th Frost Mastery ONE WITH THE WINTER At Ist level your physical appearance begins to change to reflect the icy power that flows through your veins. Your hair ‘may begin to turn white, or your skin may begin to take on a faint blue or silver hue, The exact physical change is different for each cryomaneer. These changes are subtle a first, but become more pronounced as your sorcerer level increases, ‘Additionally, you are immune to the negative effects of traveling in extreme cold. Brrrer CoD Starting at Lt level during your turn when you cast a spel of, Istlevel or higher that deals cold damage, you can use a bonus action to target creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you with a bitterly cold breeze. These creatures must suceced on a Constitution saving throw or have their speed reduced by 10 fect until the end of your next turn. Corp Comrorr ‘Starting at 6th level you gain resistance to cold damage, Additionally, you become able to move across and climb iey surfaces without needing to make an ability check, and you are able to move freely though difficult terrain composed of Cot Fire Starting at 6th level, whenever you cast a spell that deals cold ‘damage, you can add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll for that spell ‘Additionally, whenever you cast a spell or use a magic item that deals fire damage, you can spend 1 sorcery point to ‘convert the fire damage to cold damage. When converted the flames produced by the spell or effect take on a blue or white appearance. Spells and effects converted inthis way cannot ‘cause objects or creatures to catch fire, but any other effects ‘occur as normal. Converting damage inthis way does not ‘count as using a Metamagic option, ‘WINTER'S AURA At 14th level, when you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to deal cold damage to the attacker. The ‘damage is equal to your sorcerer level The attacker must also, ‘make a Constitution saving throw agasint your sorcerer spell, save DC, On a failed save, the attacker's speed is reduced by 10 feet until the end of your next turn, and they have disadvantage on the next weapon attack they make before the ‘end of their next tara, FROST MASTERY At 18th level, you gain immunity to cold damage. Starting at 18th level you have mastered the magic of ice ‘and snow. Whenever you cast a spell that deals cold damage, you may apply two Metamagic options to the same spel ‘exceecling the usual limit of one, though you may only apply ‘each Metamagic option toa spell once (for example, you may not use Empowered Spell twice on the same spell).
