SC107- Calculus

Deepawali Project Instructions

Project Submission Date: December 03, 2023 (mid night)

Formulate a real-life application problem into a mathematical problem & solve it using
your knowledge of SC 107 course. Hint: The problem may be using concepts of calculus
whatever is covered in the course.
Finally, explore if the project can be commercialised. Think if you can convert your
solutions into the startup. Write a paragraph on commercialisation perspective for your
projects in your report.
The file should have following sections:
1. Describe the application /motivation
2. Formulate the Mathematics
3. Solve the Mathematics
4. Interpretation and significance of the solution for application
5. Bibliography
The name of the file should be your rollno.tex (groupleader rollno.tex). For example, it
could be
202326354.tex and 202326354.pdf and 202326354.bib
If you have image file you can upload that as well with name 202326354 fig.jpg
The best way to prepare Bibliography is using bibtex. Learn how you can use it.
If you don’t want to install any latex software on your machine, then you can use the
online website Overleaf: https://www.overleaf.com (Very easy to use)
You have to make a homepage(such as github or google sites) describing your project.
Note: You are free to take problems from your other courses or internet. But
direct (without understanding) copy-paste is not allowed. The assignment has
to be submitted in groups. Try to be different. The solution should be typed
using LaTex. A .pdf and corresponding .tex files (both) should be uploaded.
Warning: Any content generated through AI or copy paste (with non-zero simi-
larity index) will result in F grade in the course. We will be checking it through
softwares.

Bonus: If the complete software product of the solution is developed, that will be a
bonus.
