6. Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each) with sub-parts of
the values of 1, 2 and 1 marks each respectively.

32 Write five solutions for the following equation:2x + y = 7 (5)

33. D, E and F are respectively the mid-points of the sides AB, BC and CA of a triangle
ABC. Prove that by joining these mid-points D, E and F, the triangles ABC is divided (5)
into four congruent triangles.

34 A dome of a building is in the form of a hemisphere. From inside, it was whitewashed at


the cost of Rs 498.96. If the rate of whitewashing is Rs 4 per square meter, find the :
(i) Inside surface area of the dome
(ii) Volume of the air inside the dome (5)

The height of a particular cone is 16 cm, and its base radius is 12 cm. Find out the curved surface
area and the total surface area of the cone. (Take π = 3.14)

35. The following table gives the distribution of students of two sections according to the mark obtained
by them:

frequency polygons.
(ii) From the two polygons compare the performance of the two sections.

Section E consists of 3 questions of 4 marks each.

36. Gr. 9 students were planning to go on a trip and were expected to stay in tents near the
lake. They had to collect money to buy the canvas to make 5 tents. They planned to
make every tent with a height of 24 m and radius of 7m.

i) What would be the slant height of the tent? (1)

ii)What would be the total cost, if the cost of canvas is Rs. 70/meter square? (2)
iiI)What is the area of Canvas required, they need to buy to make 5 tents? (1)
