I. Context

For incoming college students choosing the right course is a struggle. It is indeed one of the
biggest decisions in life. It will necessitate a lot of thought and consideration of the various
aspects that may influence this decision. According to studies, between 20-50 percent of students
enter college uncertain, while over 75 percent report changing majors at least once. These
uncertainties are exacerbated by the difficulty of deciding which institute to attend. Tuition fees,
distance from home, financial capability, and school reputation are just a few of the factors to
consider while selecting a school.

Our team came up with this community project by conducting a survey to be able to
acknowledge the needed information. The project “Coursescope” was formed because there are
few to no organizations that help students with such challenges. This project will cater to
students around the community. Provision of information sources and guidance will be the
central idea of this project. We aim to contribute to make the country’s workforce more
competitive. In this regards the proper selection of college courses and schools to attend to must
be prioritized to avoid job mismatch.

II. Justification

We came up with this idea thanks to our team's bright minds. Projects like this, we believe,
must be implemented. The advantages of this project and why it should be carried out are as
follows:

o We can contribute to our country's quality labor force, which is an important and active
role in production. This is due to the fact that capital, land, and organization are unable to
produce commodities and services on their own. Without effort, nature's gifts will go
unused.
o We can assist students in locating resources that will enable them to apply for college.
o Because they are unaware of the opportunities, a large section of the youth settle from
high school graduates.
o We can assist students in identifying the skills they possess in order to engage in the
appropriate college course. We can assist them in making decisions that will determine the
types of experiences they will have in the following years.

III. Project Aims

a. Goal

Choosing a college has long been a major decision and because of Covid-19 pandemic,
getting into college will be different and in some ways more difficult than ever. In hopes of
providing some guidance to students and their parents this project will prepare high school
students and their families for their college search.

b. Objectives

College admissions have always seemed opaque and confusing to students and families.
But the coronavirus pandemic only further complicated the issue. This project will help both
students and parents to gain knowledge on how to apply, including campus visits – if
available, admission process, scholarships, financial aid, and making the final decision to be
able to choose the right college. This project will be funded by money gained from collecting
plastic bottles around the community and through donations. With the help of this project, we
can turn education into a valuable asset for our community.

c. Projected Results

The following are the projected outcome of this community project:

● Graduating student will have knowledge about College Application

● Increase awareness in choosing the right school and the right course.
● Provide opportunities for students and parents in terms of education.

IV. Project Implementation

a. Target group
Our primary audience targets graduating senior high school students in Calatagan
area because there is a common desire to learn and have a knowledge about college
application process in the community. We will reach out to this audience through a
Facebook group or page in which we share information about our knowledge in college
application process and create fun activities to identify, build and improve our skills that
can help us enter college. Throughout this project, our target group will be involved in the
community efforts and would be directly affected by these efforts.

6
b. Action Plan

Goals: For the target audience to have a knowledge in terms of college application process and to
improve their skill that will help them in college.
Objectives: To build a platform of learning for students that needs to be acknowledge concerning
college application process.

The budgeted cost is in a total of ₱ 850.00 to undertake the project described above. The

intensive administrative and research support for the project.
This budget plan has been written to include all of the necessary costs involved with the
COURSCOPE project, which we would like to begin pursuing because of the lack of knowledge
regarding to college application process of graduating senior high school students. Costs
associated with the Project have been broken-down and itemized in this proposal. Detailed and
in-depth explanations have been provided for each cost element and funding request.

V. Sustainability Plan

a. Financial Sustainability

The project will be managed by Coursescope team with support from EnZoTech
SHS department. To ensure financial sustainability of the project, even after the developer
of this project graduated, it should be carried out by the school organizations such as STEP
UP EZF, iLEAD, and SPEAKS EZF. It is a project that almost no follow-up cost and funds
can come from the students and volunteers but it can also get the fund by selling plastic
bottle around the community.

b. Community Sustainability

The project will be managed by Coursescope team with support from EnZoTech
SHS department. To ensure community sustainability of the project, even after the
developer of this project graduated, the community should be monitored by their needs in
knowledge about college application process. It is beneficial for graduating seniors which
means that this project is always part of their needs every year. With the support from our
community partners, it can be successful.

c. Organizational Sustainability

The project will be managed by Coursescope team with support from EnZoTech
SHS department. To ensure organizational sustainability of the project, even after the
developer of this project graduated, it should be supported by the our community partners.
It is a project that is long-lasting and we ensure that the project will last more than 10years.
