MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
This Memorandum of Agreement, hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement" is made and entered
into as of March 23, 2023 by and between MALABANBAN NORTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL,
represented by its Project ITANIM Proponent, RAYMOND S. ABINALES, with address at Sitio Centro,
Brgy. Malabanban Norte, Candelaria, Quezon, hereinafter referred to as the "School," and the OFFICE
OF THE MUNICIPAL AGRICULTURIST, represented by its Agricultural Extension Worker, CHRISTIAN
A. CASTILLO, with address at Brgy. Masin Norte, Candelaria, Quezon, hereinafter referred to as the
"Office of the Municipal Agriculturist-LGU Candelaria, Quezon."

WHEREAS, the School aims to promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle among its students
and staff by establishing a Project ITANIM (Income sa Taniman, Aalalay sa Nangangailangan para sa
Ikagagaling ng mga Mag-aaral (Income-Generating Project) in Malabanban Norte Elementary School
dubbed as "Gamit Mo, Sagot ng Garden Ko” – Season 1;

WHEREAS, the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist-LGU Candelaria, Quezon has the expertise
and resources to provide technical assistance, training, and other forms of support to the School in
establishing and maintaining the Project ITANIM;

NOW, THEREFORE, the School and the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist-LGU Candelaria,
Quezon agree as follows:

1. Purpose.
The purpose of this Agreement is to establish a partnership between the School and the Municipal
Agriculture Office for the establishment and maintenance of Project ITANIM as an income-generating
project for the School.

2. Responsibilities of the School.

The School shall:
a. Provide a suitable area within the school premises for the establishment of the of Project ITANIM;
b. Assign a designated representative who will oversee the implementation and maintenance of Project
ITANIM;
c. Ensure that the Project ITANIM is managed and maintained in accordance with the guidelines provided
by the Municipal Agriculture Office;
d. Use the proceeds from the sale of produce from the Project ITANIM for the improvement of the School's
facilities and programs such as purchasing of school supplies to be given to needy pupils
e. Submit regular reports to the Municipal Agriculture Office on the status of Project ITANIM.

3. Responsibilities of the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist.

The Office of the Municipal Agriculturist shall:
a. Provide technical assistance and training to the School in establishing and maintaining the Project
ITANIM;
b. Provide the necessary inputs, such as seeds, seedlings, fruit-bearing plants particularly sili and
calamansi, fertilizers, and other materials if available, for the establishment and maintenance of the
Project ITANIM;

c. Monitor the progress of the Project ITANIM and provide guidance to the School on how to improve its
operations;
d. Assist the School in marketing the produce from the Project ITANIM;
e. Provide regular reports to the School on the status of the Project ITANIM.

4. Term.
This Agreement shall be effective for a period of 5 months from the date of its signing.

5. Termination.
Either party may terminate this Agreement upon thirty (30) days' written notice to the other party.

6. Amendment.
This Agreement may be amended or modified by mutual written agreement of the parties.

7. Governing Law.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the
Philippines.
