Thereport,whichinterviewspeoplefromallwalksoflifebothinsideandoutsideofthe country, details how, sixtythree years after the countrys independence, life for Burmasminoritypopulationscontinuestoworsen. It shows how the chronic failures of successive governments and dictatorships have beenresponsibleforfuellingthewarsthathaveenvelopedthecountry.Itsuggeststhat conflictcontinuesbecausetherulingregimehasconstantlyfailedtorecognizethetrue natureoftheethnicproblemandithasbeenunabletoaddresstheinequalitymanyof theminoritypeopleface.
