Macbeth Trip

Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to reach out to you with an exciting opportunity for your child's enrichment. The
English and Expressive Arts Department is proud to present a potential school trip to the captivating
Dubai Opera. As you may already know, Dubai Opera hosts a wide array of enthralling dramas, plays,
and shows, and this November, an unmissable performance awaits us – Shakespeare's timeless
masterpiece, Macbeth.

Macbeth is not just a classic of world literature, but it is also an integral part of the iGCSE English
Literature curriculum. Exposing our young learners to this iconic play is a remarkable educational
opportunity that can greatly enhance their understanding and appreciation of literature.
Regrettably, this extraordinary production will only run for a single weekend, and we are eager to
offer 25-41 students from Year 8-12 the chance to witness this unforgettable theatrical experience.
The trip details are as follows;

Trip Details

Location: Dubai Opera, Downtown

Date: 05.11.23

Dress code: Non school unform

Consent: All parents must sign the consent waivers attached in order for their child to attend the
trip and return these to accounts with the money.

Cost: 186aed (This specially discounted package includes admission to the play and one
complimentary drink. Additional food and beverages can be purchased separately at the venue's
counters). Money must be given directly to accounts at main reception.

Time: Since it falls on a weekend, you can conveniently drop off and pick up your child directly at
Dubai Opera (Address: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd - Downtown Dubai - Dubai).
Drop off: 2.30pm
Collection: 5.00pm

Reply slips and money need to be returned to accounts by Monday 9th October. If you require any
