Wash Day Policy for Enderun Colleges

• All students must be in the prescribed Enderun uniform (culinary, corporate, service) from
Monday to Friday.
• Students are allowed to attend Saturday classes in casual wear provided they comply with
the guidelines set forth.

Wash day guidelines

• On Saturdays, students will be allowed to enter the premises wearing casual wear provided
they wear no item of clothing that may offer the perception, reference, design, etc., of alcohol,
tobacco, drugs, foul language, sex or sexual topics, or topics that may be offensive or
inappropriate to others
• Students must comply with the following guidelines while on Enderun Campus:
Tops:
o Ladies: No tops that are sleeveless, spaghetti strapped, tubes, midriffs, hanging, one‐
shouldered, halter, or mesh
o Men: No collarless, sleeveless, ripped shirts, or shirts with holes
Bottoms:
o Ladies: No short shorts, mini‐skirts that fall above the knee, or torn jeans
o Men: No shorts of any length, capri pants, torn jeans
o Sagging pants may not be worn

Footwear:
o No slippers of any kind or brand
o No shoes that scruff the floor
o No shoes without backs (slingbacks, etc)

Headwear:
o While wearing the Enderun uniform, students must not wear hats, caps, visors,
sunglasses, headbands, bandanas, combs, picks, or any other type of head coverings
in the school buildings.
o Exceptions will be made for athletic situations/ religious beliefs with school approval.

Jewelry:
o No body piercings of any kind except for one piercing one each ear is allowed (for
ladies)
o Ladies are prohibited from wearing dangling earrings and are required to wear simple
studs (one on each ear)
o When wearing any form of school uniform, no necklaces are allowed except for
single‐stranded pearls (for the ladies) or single‐stranded metal (gold or silver) chains.
o One plain ring may be worn

Hair:
o Ladies: Hairstyles are expected to be neat, tidy and sensible. Long hair should be tied
back at all times using plain hair accessories (black or brown). Excessively highlighted
or tinted hairstyles may not be worn. During culinary laboratory, a hairnet is required.
o Men: Hair must be kept short and neat. Hair must not be worn longer than the top of
the collar, must not extend below the eyebrows, or touch the top of the ears.
 Male students are expected to shave daily.
Make‐up:
o Only female students are allowed to wear make‐up
o Make‐up must be worn at all times but kept to a minimum (face powder, blush, lip
gloss or lipstick in a soft neutral shade, mascara are encouraged). No excessively
colorful make‐up is allowed.

Others:
o No nail varnish or painted nails are allowed
o Nails must be neat and cut short
o No chains on body clothing

• During practical classes in kitchen and service or sports, the prescribed uniform will be worn
as per the instructions of the respective instructors. Students are allowed to remain on
campus wearing these uniforms if they do not have other classes that require them to wear
the corporate uniform.
