Teacher’s Handout: Popsicle Stick See-Saw

In this exciting activity, learners will create a miniature model of a see-saw using a popsicle stick and a
triangular eraser.

Things you need:

Popsicle Stick

2 Plastic sauce containers

Triangular eraser

Pompoms

Glue

Instructions:

Ask the learners what does a see-saw look like? How does it work?

Tell the learners they will be making a see-saw today.

With the help of the teacher, the learners will stick plastic sauce containers on the popsicle stick at the
extreme ends.

Ask the learners to balance the popsicle stick from the middle on a triangular eraser.

Let the learners add an unequal amount of pompoms in the two containers to see the see-saw go up and
down.
