Customer statement / workshop findings

1. The yellow airbag warning light appears in the combination instrument.
2. At least one of the following complaints is logged in the memory of the airbag control unit:
01217 001
Igniter for driver side airbag -N199
Upper limit exceeded.
01218 001
Igniter for passenger side airbag -N200
Upper limit exceeded.

Technical background
Sporadically increased resistance in the plug connector for side airbag module/seat frame wiring
loom.

Production change
Connector in seat frame gradually discontinued.

Measure
Repair according to the attached instructions.
If this doesn’t fix the problem, continue the fault finding.
