Describe An Endangered Animal
I’m going to talk about the elephant, one of the endangered species nowadays.
Elephants are considered to be the largest land animals. They are grayish in color
with wrinkled skin and have massive bodies, large ears, and long trunks.
They are herbivores and social animals since they live in packs and feed on grass
or leaves.
Elephants are diurnal, meaning that they are active during the day and are warm-
blooded mammals.
This animal is also a crucial icon in many cultures and a symbol of strength and
wisdom. They are also believed to benefit the flora and fauna and balance the
natural ecosystem, but now they are facing a lot of human actions that can harm
them and affect their lives. People today are putting a lot of effort into fighting
elephant poaching and preventing habitat loss. Besides, they only give birth to a
young elephant every two to four years.
Those are two major factors causing the number of elephants to decline.
