TIPS & TRICKS
#0 HOW TO SCORE.
Use a ruler with / a dried out ball point pen / the tip of a pointy object (compasses) / the dull side of a knife or
X-acto knife. If it gets though the sheet, then this is not the right tool. Batch your pieces to save time.

#1 PUT PARTS IN ORDER (FIRST PART ON TOP).

Pile the parts: 1 above, 11 below. This will also save your time later when you are in the heat of the action!

#2 SYSTEMATISE.
1 Printed side face to you 4 Still with the printed side face to you 7 Flip the part

2 Push all the (red) small-dotted lines outwards 5 Pull all the (blue) large-dotted lines towards you 8 Appy the glue on the flaps

#3 GLUE THE NON-PRINTED SIDE OF THE FLAPS.

The printed side and the flaps are hidden inside the sculpture. So press the non-printed side of a flap
against the printed side of its matching edge.

#4 ONE FLAP AT A TIME.

Take the time to position a flap accurately. Wait for it to dry before you move on to the next one (5 to 7secs).

#5 TRUST THE PAPER.

Don’t worry too much about the angles. They will take shape without effort on their own.

#6 USE VERY LITTLE GLUE (ALONG THE OUT EDGE OF THE FLAPS).
A thin line of glue or a few tiny drops are more than enough, or it will spread and spoil the outside
of your sculpture. If it happens, scrape out the surplus with your nail, then rub the paper with a little saliva.

#7 PAY ATTENTION TO THE CORNERS, BE PRECISE TO AVOID HOLES.

some drops of glue are missing poor result some extra drops of glue neat result

#8 AVOID POTENTIAL OFFSETS OF THE PARTS.

If one flap is slightly misplaced, it will increasingly affect each following edge. If this happens and your
glue has dried, don’t try to unstick the flap. Instead, try to adjust the offset bit by bit at the next flap onward.
Here is a good method to avoid offsets:

When adding a new part, take Firmly hold the corners first, Now that the first end of Again, press the corner Keep holding it while aligning

first flap aligns accurately and then press the rest. it will be easy to align the it comes to longer flaps, press
with its matching edge. second end of it. for another 5 sec). Then press
back & forth between the 2 ends.

#9 AND OBVIOUSLY, KEEP YOUR HANDS CLEAN.

Regularly rub your fingers to get rid of the tiny dry bits of glue. Otherwise they will turn black, get on
to your sculpture and become difficult to remove.
