 So what is a documentary?

Definition:
 Consisting or based on official documents
 Using picture or interviews with people involved in real events to provide a factual report on
particular subject

What I think documentary is:

I think documentary is something that uses a platform like film or television to document the
world Depicting things as they are in their honest state and capturing realism the constant
evolving of the human race and its habitants I think that documentaries are a way to
manipulate mind in both good way and bad while also exposing the hard truth about society
and the world we live in.

Different types of documentaries

There are six different types of documentary

 Observational documentary these documents are simply attempt to

observe simultaneously lived life with a minimum of intervention.
 Expository documentary these speak directly to the viewer often in the
form of authoritative commentary employing voiceover or titles proposing a strong
argument and point of view.
 Participatory documentary these believe impossible for the act of filmmaking
to not influence the events that are being filmed. Instead they imulate the approach of
the anthropologist participant observatory.
