Narrator : In a village that was previously peaceful and harmonious, the shadows of
conflict have begun to emerge, disturbing the tranquility of the residents. This
village is haunted by differences in perspectives and tensions that are causing
cracks in the harmony of the village.

Villager 1 : “The village land has been empty for a long time; what do you think the village
headman plans to do with it?”

Villager 3 : “I'm curious too because someone was seen inspecting the land yesterday.”

Villager 4 : “It seems there is going to be a problem”

Villager 2 : “It seems like the land is going to be sold.”

Villager 4 : “Ah, that’s why my husband’s WA group was buzzing yesterday”

Villager 1: “Alright then, let's just wait for confirmation then.”

Narrator : The conflict begins when there is differences in vision regarding the use of the
village land. Some villagers want to involve the community in decision-making,
while others prefer an authoritarian approach.

Village Headman : "I think we should decide on our own without too much discussion. As a
headman, I know what's best."

Community figure : "But, sir, all villagers have the right to participate in decisions that will
affect their lives."

Village Headman : "I've already decided everything. This is for the good of our village."

.Turns out, there's a villager 1 eavesdropping on the conversation

Villager 1 : "Wow, there's hot news!!" (While running to meet other villagers that are
shopping.)

Villager 2 : "What's happening, why are you running like that?"

Villager 1 : "Hot news, hot news! I went to the village headman's house to invite him to the
feast. But, I overheard that the village land is planned to be sold to a plastic
factory."

Villager 3 : “What!!! Seriously!!!

Villager 4 : “Yes, that's what my husband said. They want to sell it for a high price!!”

Villager 3 : "Well, ladies, from what i know, village land is not supposed to be sold."

Villager 2 : "Ah, villager 3 acting like you know everything. Are you sure about that?"

Villager 3 : "Ah, by the way, I graduated from EJH (elementary, junior high, high school)."

Veggies Basket : "Let's not argue about it now; it's not confirmed anyway. It will be
discussed again. Okay, ladies, don't forget to pay”

Narrator : Finally, the meeting at the village hall takes place. Tensions arise between the
group supporting the village leader's policy and the group advocating for more
community participation.
Community figure : " The people need justice. This village land belongs to all of the
residents not just a few individuals."

Village Headman : " "I already know what is best for this village."

Supporters of Village Headman 1: “Indeed, the village leader must have considered what is
best for this village."

Supporters of Village Headman 2: “Enough, you're just causing a chaos. It's better if you
all go home now.”

Community figure : “I went to the village leader's house yesterday to discuss the issue of the
village land, but the I received an unpleasant result”

Villager 2 : “Yes, the village leader, being selfish without discussing it with other residents,
makes decisions on his own”

Villager 3 : “Wow, that's not acceptable, is it?”

Villager 4 : “That’s right, the village leader supposed to discuss this issue first with the
villagers before making a decision. He shouldn't decide on this matter alone."

Villager 1 : “Exactly. How about tomorrow we all go together to the leader's house and ask
for justice regarding all these issues?"

Villager 2,3 dan 4 : “Agreed”

Narrator : "THE TENSION REACHED ITS PEAK WHEN PROTESTS AND

DEMONSTRATIONS TOOK PLACE. THE VILLAGE, USUALLY
PEACEFUL, IS NOW FILLED WITH UNCERTAINTY AND TENSION."

Villager 3 : "We must voice our rights! Don't let decisions be made by one party alone."

Supporters of Village Headman : "You are just causing chaos. Our leader has been doing
the best for us all this time."

Villager 1 : “Yes, indeed, the village head's performance has been good so far. But this time
is a serious matter."

Villager 2 : "Exactly, this is a problem for all villagers. In this matter, we need the approval
of the entire community, it cannot be decided by one person alone."
Villager 4 : “The land belongs to the village, rather than being sold to a plastic factory, it is
better to be managed by the villagers themselves so that the village's economy
can improve."

Narrator : "SEEING THE SITUATION ESCALATING, THE VILLAGE LEADER

CALLED FOR A MEETING WITH THE VILLAGERS.”

Supporters of Village Headman 1 : “Thank you everyone, for coming to this meeting."

Supporters of Village Headman 2 : “Here, the villagers are in disagreement as they oppose
the decision that’s made by the village leader."

Villager 3: “Of course, we disagree if the village land being sold. It is clear that village land
cannot be bought and sold."

Villager 1 : “Yes, it's because the village leader makes decisions on all these matters as he
pleases. Yet, this also concerns the future of all village residents.

Community figure : " "Alright, we need to find ways to listen to each other and find an
agreement. We are one village, one family."

Villager 2 : "Exactly, we need to find a way out together. We all want the best for this
village."

Villager 3 : “Agree, we can't continue in a situation like this indefinitely."

Villager 4 : “Exactly, absolutely true.”

Community figure : “Alright, we need to discuss now.”

Community figure : “"It would be good if we ask the village leader first why they easily
make the decision."

Supporters of Village Headman 1 : "Correct, let's ask the village leader calmly first."

Village Headman : "Alright, listen to this. I received a very high offer if I sell this village
land to the plastic factory. Surely, with this high offer, we can provide benefits to
the residents."

Villager 2: "But, are you sure the village leader will distribute that money to the community
in this village? I feel like it's just for you. Isn't that right?"
Villager 3: "Exactly, the village leader shouldn't be selfish like that. A good village leader
should be able to make decisions that will benefit the residents."

Villager 1 : "The price offer is also temporary, and eventually, the money will run out.
Imagine if the land is already used for a plastic factory, the impact will also be
felt by the villagers”

Villager 4 : “"I agree, the impact will be tremendous. Does the village leader not consider
that and only think about the high offer?"

Village Headman: “"Wait a moment, I am making this decision carefully. When the factory
is established, it will certainly create job opportunities for the villagers in
this area. Later on, the villagers here will surely get employment and
income as well."

Supporters of Village Headman 2 : "Indeed, what our village leader said is true. So, don't
worry."

Villager 1 : “"Does the village leader confident in this decision? Although the well-being of
the residents may be secured, are you also providing assurance for their health?

Villager 4 : "Instead of being sold to the factory, it's better if we manage it ourselves. We can
plant vegetables, sell the harvest, and, of course, that will last for a long time."

Community figure : “Exactly, listen to what the villagerss are saying. This time, you really
need to pay attention to the voices of your people."

Village Headman : “"Alright, I have decided not to sell the village land, and I will hand it
over to the residents. However, all of you must be able to take care of
and be responsible for the village land. I will assist all of you later."

Narrator : "THROUGH COLLECTIVE EFFORTS, THE VILLAGE COMMUNITY HAS

FINALLY FOUND A PEACEFUL SOLUTION. THEY AGREE TO HOLD AN
OPEN FORUM AND PROVIDE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE TO ALL
VILLAGERS."

Supporters of Village Headman 2: "I think this is a wise decision. All residents have the
right to participate."
Villager 1: "Let's build this village together. Our harmony is more important than our
differences."

Narrator: WITH THE SPIRIT OF DELIBERATION AND MUTUAL COOPERATION,

THE VILLAGE ONCE AGAIN ACHIEVES PEACE. THE RESIDENTS WORK
TOGETHER TO BUILD A BETTER LIFE WITHOUT SACRIFICING JUSTICE
AND COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION.

Villager 3 : "This is a valuable lesson for all of us. We need to unite and talk to find
solutions."

Community figure: "This village is our home together. Let's take care of our togetherness
and harmony."

Narrator :. "WITH A PEACEFUL RESOLUTION, THE SHADOWS OF CONFLICT IN

THE VILLAGE HAVE FINALLY DISAPPEARED. THE VILLAGE HAS
RETURNED TO BEING A SAFE AND HARMONIOUS PLACE, WHERE
EVERY RESIDENT HAS A ROLE IN BUILDING A SHARED FUTURE."
