This memorandum sets forth the additional guidelines and


concept of raising awareness regarding Information Campaign
on addressing the Prohibition of throwing Garbage at Sea
Shores, In accordance with the PNP's Core Values,
MAKAKALIKASAN (Pro-Environment) seeks to protect and
preserve the nature by increasing knowledge awareness. and
Backgrounder
Encouraging PWUDs to surrender and undergo rehabilitation
programs in relation to the BIDA which aims to reduce drug
affectation in the country by taking away drugs from the
people, take people away from the lure of illegal drugs, and
minimize the impact of the drug problem in the community by
integrating the support of stakeholders.

At about 1:30 PM of January 10, 2024, Iloilo MARPSTA


personnel led by Pat Mac Anthony Villarias under the direct
supervision of PMAJ WILMAR B BOLIVAR, Station Chief,
conducted Pulong–Pulong/ Dialogue on Information Campaign
on addressing the Prohibition of throwing Garbage at Sea
Meat/Gist of the Shores and Encouraging PWUDs to surrender and undergo
Activity rehabilitation programs in relation to the BIDA program to the
bystanders held at Lapuz Port, Iloilo City

The said activity ended at about 2:00 PM of same date.

Impact of Activity to Iloilo MARPSTA enhanced its relationship with other
Government and Non-government Agencies, law enforcement
the PNP-MG
units and counterparts from the government.

This Group must continue its efforts in participating similar

government agencies, NGA, and other maritime stakeholders.
