Biobag is an environmentally friendly plastic bag with raw materials from corn husk called mates-bi
and can decompose on the ground by itself. Biobag is also suitable to be used as a wrapper meat or
fish before it is put into the refrigerator. Fish or meat wrapped in biobag is able to be stored for two
months in the refrigerator and it is not sticky during melting process.

Biobags used in many countries such as the United States, Canada, France, England, Australia,
Norway, Singapore, and for some areas in Indonesia are produced by the Norwegian Company. It
took 10-year experiment by a Norwegian professor and his research team.

Biobag is able to soak the smell of organic waste. If used as a garbage bag, biobag pores can
regulate air circulation inside. Biobag is not easy to condense so it can suppress the growth of fungi.
The weight of stored organic waste will also shrink to 50%.

Another advantage of biobag is that if disposed or buried in the soil can decompose naturally in just
10-45 days. However, it should be noted that the decomposition of this bio plastic can take place
safely in an integrated waste treatment plant to be used as compost, not just thrown away in the
environment.
