    Hotel Association Report – Year 2 Quarter 3

    SUPPLY

    The new four star opened in April as scheduled. The two new select service properties opened in June as scheduled.
    Many properties in the two star category have recently completed refurbishment projects to their rooms and public
    areas.

    DEMAND

    Forecasts give occupancy around 85%

    Members report increased demand and pace in the leisure, small group, and large group segments. Business,
    Corporate, and Tour remain steady year-on-year. The demand picture is positive. However, pricing is competitive.
    All markets continue to support higher than average rates only if they are justified with value received and convenient
    marketing systems.

    Surprisingly, the Large Group segment continues to book even in the high season summer months. These months
    appear to be convenient for groups like regional teachers conventions who have slack time during these months.
