20th Century Girl

20th Century Girl tells the story of a young girl named Noura who is in high
school in 1999. Noura is a cheerful girl, good at taekwondo, and active in the
broadcasting club at her school.

Noura has a friend named Syera who likes a man named Keenan. because
Keenan is in the same broadcasting club as Noura, Syera asked her bestfriend to
find information about the man who she liked it. Syera couldn’t do it alone
because she had to have heart surgery in the US. She also confided in Noura
that she didn’t want to leave because she fell in love with their schoolmate,
Keenan. Noura also promised Syera to find information related to Keenan and
wanted her bestfriend to be able to carry out the opperation well.

Noura decided to help Syera and was assisted by her male friend, Raksa. Noura
overheard Keenan’s conversation and him bestfriend Raksa would join a
broadcasting club in theirs school. So, he who has become a member of the
club, tries to ask Raksa about Keenan. Keenan thinks Noura is attracted to him.
Therefore, Keenan immediately asked Noura to go on a date even though the
offer was rejected. On the one hand, Noura begins to realize that she likes
Raksa. Likewise with Raksa also began to have feelings for Noura.
Not long after, Syera, who had successfully undergone heart surgery, return to
Indonesia. The good news was receivedwith great pleasure by Noura. But at the
same time, bad news also covered his feelings. Syera told Noura that it was
wrong to dig up information about the boy she liked. The figure she has liked so
far turns out to be Raksa, not Keenan. Noura’s feelings are also made
uncomfortable, even though she has started to have crush on Raksa. In the end,
Noura tried to stay away from Raksa and helped Syera to get close to Raksa.
When Raksa and Noura have a date schedule, Noura said to Syera that Raksa
asked Syera out on a date. That day, Raksa told Syera that he liked Noura. Syera
is very disappointed in her bestfriend, Noura. Noura also told Syera that she
liked Raksa, but she loved her bestfriend more and didn’t want to see her
bestfriend sad.

Raksa also realized that the reason Noura avoided him was because of Noura’s
friendship with Syera. Raksa was also informed by his father that he had to
return to New Zealand. Hearing the news, Raksa could only obey his father’s
will. Before going to New Zealand, Raksa wanted to meet Noura one last time.
Keenan and Syera also helped Raksa to meet Noura. Syera begged Noura to
meet with Raksa. Noura also decided to go meet Raksa.

Even though they can’t meet, they can talk to each other via the internet and
telephone. Raksa promised Noura that he would return to Indonesia to meet
Noura. After Raksa said this to Noura, Raksa’s contact could no longer be
contacted. Several years later, Rakha, Raksa’s younger brother, asked Noura to
come see him. Rakha told Noura that Raksa had died a long time ago when she
wanted to return to Indonesia to meet Noura at that time.
