2. The teacher has established two learning
-Collaborative Approach
stations. Each of them offers different learning
-Inquiry Approach
style.

3. Once the teacher gives her go signal, the pupils

will go to their learning stations where they can
observe and do some brainstorming.

will follow.

7. Pupils’ performance will be rated based on the

rubrics.
Group 1. “TEAM UP”
(COT 1 – Across Curriculum – Arts)

Directions: Form the picture puzzle and label the

diagram of a water cycle. Then, write each phase of the
water cycle next to its definition:
precipitation condensation

collection evaporation

Water falls to the ground. _______________

Water runs downhill to form

lakes and oceans. _______________

The sun’s heat turns water into

a gas called water vapor. _______________
Water vapor gathers to from
clouds. _______________

Group 2. “BUILDING A PARAGRAPH”

(COT 1 – Across Curriculum - English)
Direction: Fill the space with the correct words found
in the word bank to build a paragraph.
Word bank
cycle, condensation, precipitation,
evaporation, water

Fill in the blanks:

The sun warms the water, and it turns to gas called

___________ vapor. Water vapor comes, up, up, up,
from the land, rivers, and oceans, this is called
__________. Water vapor comes up, up, up from you,
me, dogs, and trees. Water vapor goes up high into the
sky. The water vapor gets cold, turns into water droplets
and forms big, fluffy clouds, this is called ___________.
The clouds get full and heavy with water droplets. They
fall, down, down as rain, hail, or snow, this is called
___________. The rain flows over the land, back into
creeks, rivers, and oceans. The water goes round and
round again in the natural water ___________.

EXPLAIN

1. Discussion (COT 3 & 5) The teacher will conduct a short lecture about the water
Strategy: cycle.
- Reporting
-The water cycle describes how water is exchanged
(cycled) through Earth's land, ocean, and atmosphere.

-Water always exists in all three phases, and in many

forms—as lakes and rivers, glaciers and ice sheets,
oceans and seas, underground aquifers, and vapor in the
air and clouds.

-The water cycle consists of four major

processes: evaporation, condensation, precipitation and
collection.
a. Evaporation is the process of a liquid's surface
changing to a gas.
b. Condensation is the process of a gas changing to a
liquid. In the water cycle, water vapor in the atmosphere
condenses and becomes liquid.
c. Precipitation describes any liquid or solid water that
falls to Earth as a result of condensation in the
atmosphere.
d. Collection is when water that falls from the clouds as
rain, snow, hail or sleet, collects in the oceans, rivers,
lakes, streams.

(Values Infusion)
(Integrating the knowledge across curriculum –
EsP; within curriculum - Science)
- How do we take good care of our bodies of water?
Plants?

ELABORATE
3. Generalization Complete any of the following phrases:

Strategy:  I have learned that _________________.

 I have discovered that ______________.
- Metacognition -  I have realized that ________________.

Activity 3: Mystery Box Game

4. Application (COT 1 & 3)

Strategy:
- Gamification
Mechanics:
1. The same groupings.
2. The pupil will pick a letter and answer the
question.
3. Then, he / she must choose if he / she will keep
or give the box.
4. If he / she chooses to take the box, he / she will
give the correct answer. If not, he / she will
identify a pupil to answer the question.

EVALUATE:
(COT 5)
Directions: Encircle the letter of the correct answer:

1. What do you call to the process by which water

changes from a liquid to a gas?

A. Precipitation C. Condensation
B. Evaporation D. Transpiration

2. In the water cycle, which is the changing of water

vapor into water droplets forming clouds?

A. Condensation C. Evaporation
B. Precipitation D. Collection

3. What process is involved when water vapor in the air

gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming
clouds?

A. Transpiration C. Evaporation
B. Condensation D. Water Cycle

4. What is the correct term if there is a continuous

movement of water from Earth to atmosphere and
back to Earth?

A. Water Cycle C. Evaporation

B. Transpiration D. Collection

5. Which is the correct description of precipitation?

A. A water vapor that turns back into a liquid form.
B. The turning of liquid into gas.
C. The exhalation of water vapor through the
stomata.
D. When water falls from the clouds stored in the
oceans, rivers and lakes.

EXTEND: Create a model of water cycle.
