    1. INT. BEDROOM – MORNING RED GROUP

    Client to read the role of Alex

    Alex is sat on their bed and goes on their mobile phone,


    feeling tired after a whole night without sleep.

    Janet enters.

    JANET
    Have you seriously been up playing on your phone all night
    long?

    ALEX
    (Awkwardly) No… I… um… I haven’t just been playing on it!
    Yesterday, I went to school, and we had a new teacher. He wore
    goggles that made his eyes suspiciously dark and clothes with
    the letters G.W embellished all over them in fine silk.
    (In deep thought) He also wore a humongous, pointy hat that
    made him look almost fictional.

    JANET
    Are you sure you haven’t just dreamt this? I mean, you have
    been very lost in your own world lately.

    ALEX
    (Growing impatient) Let me finish! When I got home, I typed
    the letters G.W into my phone, and it shut down entirely, and
    in a whirlwind of dust and darkness, I was bizarrely
    confronted by the wizard-like teacher from yesterday!

    JANET
    Alex, I think you should get some rest…

    ALEX
    (Interrupting) I had endless amounts of questions to ask him,
    but before I could say anything, he whispered mysteriously to
    me “Game Wizard” then disappeared within a split second.

    JANET
    Go to bed now! I will not stand for any more of your utter
    nonsense.

    ALEX
    (Reluctantly) But mum!

    JANET
    Now Alex!

    ALEX
    (Whispering) No one is going to stop me from solving this
    mystery! I need to know more about the Game Wizard!

    Alex types ‘Game Wizard’ into their phone

    ALEX (CONT’D)
    (Reads aloud) The Game Wizard is a legendary character that
    was written about in a historical technology book… the Game
    Wizard is also referred to as… Janet Smith.

    JANET
    (Calling) Alex, I need to tell you about the teacher that you
    had yesterday!

    ALEX
    (To himself) I think I already know…

    END.
