WELCOME TO

WRONGWOOD

SETTING
The stench of corruption matches the visible
decay, trees taking twisted forms, bound in
wreaths of creeping fluorescent mold. The
forest is now a super-organism, a huge
parasitic slime mold network. The mold tempts
creatures in by forming humanoid pseudopods
that make singing and crying noises by forcing
air through organic pipes.
UNDERGROUND
Openings form in the ground leading into large
caverns, which contain vast crystalline
structures and tendrils to ensnare the unwary.
Deep inside are glowing spores which hold
psychic information.

SPORE STORIES
If a spore is held with both hands the holder
enters a trance, viewing a sequence of events
like watching an immersive film from inside the
eyes of another. These are memories, some
recent, some ancient, from the history of the
surrounding world. Roll d6. On 1-3 the vision
twists into a Hallucination that eventually
Warps into an Encounter with the Mold.

FUNGUS
Fungal growths in nooks and crevices. Some is
1. foul smelling, some 2. fragrant, some 3.
musky, some 4. sweet. In each woodland or
underground location, one is 1. poisonous
(nausea), one 2. health-giving, one
3.psychotropic (inducing a Hallucination), one
4. food.
Roll again in each area.

WARPS
1. The area turns rancid, decaying into dust,
and the player begins to be sucked into the
floor.
2. The space reveals itself to be made of a
million beetles, they crawl up and smother
one character.
3. Everything is subtly moving, then starts to
dissolve into infinite fractals. Whoever
spots this is mesmerised, unable to move.
4. The wall opens revealing the plant roots
beneath, pulsing with white sap, which
pulls the character into the walls.
5. Fungal psuedo-arms reach up through the
floor, trying to ensnare the group
6. Vines slink and slither towards the players,
silently entwining their feet and legs
