REVERSE CONCEPT PAPER ACTIVITY

Directions: Typically, a concept paper is made before an research proposal. For this
activity, read the published research papers and do a reverse concept paper for each.
That is, assume what the author/s had in mind before accomplishing the research
papers. Pass the concept paper/s as scheduled.

Please follow the format below:


I. Title
A. A clear and concise title that reflects the focus of the research.

II. Introduction
A. Provide an introduction to the research problem.
B. Explain the significance and relevance of the research topic.
C. Present the research question or objectives.
D. State the purpose of the concept paper.

III. Literature Review


A. Review relevant literature and theoretical frameworks related to your
research topic.
B. Identify gaps or areas where further qualitative research is needed.
C. Discuss the contributions of existing research to your study.

IV. Theoretical Lens


A. Describe the theoretical perspective or framework that will guide your
research
B. Explain how this framework informs your research question and approach.

V. Methodology
A. Describe the qualitative research methods you plan to use, such as
interviews, focus groups, participant observation, content analysis, etc.
B. Explain your rationale for choosing qualitative methods.
C. Discuss your approach to data collection, including recruitment of
participants.
D. Outline the data analysis techniques you intend to employ (e.g., thematic
analysis, grounded theory, etc.).
E. Address ethical considerations, including how you plan to obtain informed
consent and maintain the privacy and confidentiality of participants.

VI. Data Collection


A. Detail the types of data you plan to collect, including sample size and data
sources.
B. Describe your data collection procedures, including any tools or instruments
you will use.
C. Provide a timeline for data collection.

VII. Data Analysis


A. Explain how you will analyze the collected data.
B. Discuss the coding, categorization, and interpretation processes.
C. Mention any software or tools you plan to use for analysis.

VIII. Expected Results and Contribution


A. Anticipate the potential findings of your study.
B. Explain how your research will contribute to the existing literature and the field
as a whole.

A. List the references and sources cited in your concept paper using APA, 7 th
edition.
