Question: What are the elements of poetry present in Severo's piece?
Answer: Poetry. As with narrative, there are "elements" of poetry that we
can focus on to enrich our understanding of a particular poem or group of
poems. These elements may include, voice, diction, imagery, figures of
speech, symbolism and allegory, syntax, sound, rhythm and meter, and
structure.
Question: What is the theme of the piece? What social issues does it
address?
Answer: “Inggit” is about a young farmer who wants a better life, asserting
his family's right to the land they've been tending for generations. Juan
Miguel severo’s piece “inggit”, it’s theme is poverty, hardships, sadness,
sufferings, and envy.
Question: What makes spoken poetry similar to or different from other
poetry forms?
Answer: As spoken word poetry is performed live, it is different from
written poetry, because the way it sounds is one of the main components.
Unlike written poetry, the poetic text takes its quality less from the visual
aesthetics on a page, but depends more on phonesthetics, or the aesthetics
of sound.
Question: in your opinion, what are the factors that contributed to the
popularization of this form of poetry in our country?
Answer: in my opinion the one of the factor in popularizing this type of
poetry is the performer with out the performer or writer this type of poetry
will not be popular.
