As informed vide letter dt. 11/12/2 023 (attached), National Council for Hotel
Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is going to conduct two Competitions i.e.
Essay Writing Competition & All India School Level Quiz Competition for the students of 11 th
& 12th class.

. All the HoSs are hereby directed to disseminate this information among the students of
class 1 1 th & 12th and encourage them to participate in the said Competitions as per details
attached.

Sir,

As you are aware that National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology
(NCHMCT) is established by the Government of India to regulate hospitality management
education by networking of the Government Institutes and by affiliating other reputed private
Institutes in all over India. Although, National Council for Hotel Management is in its
42nd year
of existence but most of the Central Government Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM), who
are under the academic network of NCHCMT, is celebrating their golden jubilee and few of
them have already celebrated their diamond jubilee. It can proudly say that we are the
pioneer of hospitality management education in India. Our IHMs ranked top in the countr
and 13th by the CEO World, USA in the year 2022. y

NCHMCT is now announcing two competitions namely, Essay writing competition and
all India school level Quiz competition for 11th and 12th class students of recognised senior
secondary schools. During last year admission, Council opened direct registration into the
counselling process for the vocational students of higher secondary level on the basis of their
12th score to get admission into our flagship program of B.Sc. H&HA. This year also, we shall
try our level best to accommodate the vocational students directly into the counselling
process similiar to last year. It is an earnest request to circulate both the competitions in all
schools towards getting good number of participation. Both the competitions have been
designed in such a way that the student will be interested to jot down information towards
Indian heritage and culture, which is the backbone of Indian Tourism. At the same time, they
will know what is the hospitality and hospitality management education, which can be a good
option for them to make their future career,

Hope these two competitions will be received well by the schools as this provides an
opportunity to showcase the knowledge and writing skill both for their students in a national
forum. At the same time, the winning student will enhance the prestige of his/her school also.
