CHART OF BENEFITS TO THE FAMILY OF DECEASED CIVIL SERVANT PUNJAB

1. Financial Assistance (Lump Rs.2500,000/-
Sum Grant)
2. Pension Salary The deceased’s family shall be allowed salary,
along with an annual increase in the pay till the date
of superannuation i.e., 60 years. After creation of
OSD Post.
3. Leave Encashment A lump-sum payment equal to 365 days in terms of
Rule 19 of the Revised Leave Rules, 1981 will be
paid to the deceased’s family at the time of death.
4. 4 Months’ Salary Four months’ salary (pay last drawn plus
allowances will be paid to the deceased’s family at
the time of death.
5. Group Insurance Rs. 400,000/- (from State life Insurance)
6. Funeral Grant Rs. 50000/- (from Benevolent Fund)
7. Monthly Grant out of On the death of a government servant Rs.6500/-

8. Education and Marriage Under the Punjab Government Servants


Grants Benevolent Funds Part-I & II (Disbursement) Rules,
1965 & 1966
9. Appointment of One One child or widow in BPS-1 to 11 (including the
Child/Widow/Widower post of Patwari & Jr. Clerk) will be appointed after
the death of the employee as per provisions of Rule
17-A of the Punjab Civil Services (A&CS) Rules,
1974.
10. Family Pension/Gratuity After the date of superannuation i.e. 60 years,
family pension shall be allowed as per the Punjab
Civil Services Pensions Rules, 1967.

11. GP Fund (General Provident GP Fund will be paid at the option of the family i.e.
Fund) at the time of death or superannuation. Whereas
GP Fund shall be deducted from the salary (OSD
post) of the deceased’s family at the option of the
family.
12. Health Free Health facilities as per their entitlement during
service of the family of the deceased employee
under the provisions of the West Pakistan Medical
(Attendance) Rules, 1959
