PARAGRAPH 1: Introduction

Currently, the urbanization process has led to the appearance of many supermarkets, and online
shopping has also become popular. Therefore, some people argue that independent shops will
hardly exist in the future. I completely agree with the argument and will try to explain in this
essay why so

PARAGRAPH 2:

Main idea 1: There are disadvantages of small, independent shop

Supporting evidence:
Limited selection: Small shops often have limited selection and inventory compared to larger
chain stores, which can make it difficult for customers to find the products they need
Higher prices: Small shops may have higher prices compared to larger chain stores, due
to the higher costs of operating a small business, such as rent and labor.

Main idea 2: Small’s customer base is getting smaller

Supporting evidence: Small stores are located in unfavorable locations for buyers, often deep in
alleys, or places with few people

PARAGRAPH 3

Main idea 1: There are advantages of supermarket

Supporting evidence:
Competitive prices: Due to their large volume of sales, chain stores can often offer
lower prices compared to small shops.
Wide selection: Large chain stores typically offer a wide selection of products, making it
easier for customers to find what they need

Main idea 2: There are advantages to shopping online

Supporting evidence:
You save money on petrol, parking or bus fares.
There is no need to carry heavy shopping to your car.
Easily pay with an e-wallet, no need to use a lot of cash.

PARAGRAPH 4: Conclusion

In short, supermarkets and shopping online bring more benefits to customers than
independent shops and they are consistent with economic development. So from my
point of view, in the future, small shops do not have enough customers to survive.
