OB79LS: WSO, PERFORATION & SCREEN INSTALLATION Rev03 - 17th-JUNE-2022

✓ Do not exceed 85% of fluid handling capacity in any of the compartments of the Surge Tank to avoid
trickles of fluid in the gas vent line overboard.
✓ Consider high fatigue area; avoid performing weight checks on same area to prevent more fatigue.
✓ Constantly monitor the real time, weight indicator reading, CT plots, circulating and well head pressures
then compare reading vs simulated results.
✓ The maximum set down weight down weight with CT BHA at 2500 m/TH without damaging the CT is -
2962lbf (-621lbs at surface). Also, the maximum pick-up weight with CT BHA at 2603 m/TH in case that
the CT is stuck is 13,779lbf at the BHA (33,821lbf on surface); Coiled tubing pipe parameters need to be
set accordingly to avoid damaging the tool or the CT respectively
17. Continue RIH CT and to 2550m/TH, which is 53m above the 2.25” FWG Plug at 2603m/TH.
18. Reduce CT speed to 3m/min, increase the pump rate to 0.7bpm, jet across the tubing and gently tag top of
the 2.25” FWG plug in ‘F’ LN at 2603m/TH.
19. P/U CT off bottom by 1m and circulate 32bbls (1 bottoms up) of FDW, taking returns at CT/tbg annulus.
20. Stop pumping FDW. RIH and confirm CT tag at 2.25” FWG plug. Flag the CT pipe.
21. Pick up coil without circulating FDW to 2580m/TH (cement retainer depth) and flag pipe. Totalenergies,
Wellscience and Poseidon Supervisors must agree on the depth reference for the retainer (top of the packer)
22. Commence circulating FDW at 0.3bpm and continue to POOH CT wash BHA.
23. Shut in well at the swab valve and lay down the Dummy Cement retainer BHA.

6.3.2 Coil Tubing Operation – RIH and Set Cement Retainer

Notes:
✓ All rig up, CT equipment, pump and surface line, has been completed following the Rig up guideline
presented in sections “6. Project Specific Procedures” of this program
✓ For Risk Assessment and Mitigation review and refer always to the project JRA reviewed by the party
involved with these operation and approved by the OML58 OIM (RSES) or his delegate.

1. Hold pre-job safety meeting with all relevant personnel. Review applicable JRA and job procedures.
2. Record OB79LS & SS SIWHP, Ann-A and Ann-B pressures.
3. M/U the 2-7/8” Cement retainer BHA below the DFCV (refer to Appendix 5 for BHA schematic).
Notes:
✓ WELLSCIENCE engineer to supervise installation of the cement retainer.
✓ Ensure that the pulling pistons are pinned in place to prevent premature setting of the packer while RIH
✓ After making up the CT BHA connector, perform pressure test and Pull Test as per Poseidon standard (refer
to item 16 of Appendix 20) to 21,000lbs.
✓ Ensure the right rating and number of shear pins are installed in the MHA.
✓ Adequately torque all BHA connections as per specification. BHA connections below the MHA should be
lock tight.
✓ Never tag Swab Valve or Master Valves for depth correlation with Packer/Cement retainer assembly and
Never set down excessive weight when running in hole same.
✓ Do not Pressure test BHA either on surface or RU unto the wellhead with the cement retainer already
made up to the CT stacks.

OB79LS: WSO, PERFORATION & SCREEN INSTALLATION Rev03 - 17th-JUNE-2022

✓ Do not exceed 0.50 -0.70 bpm circulating rate when circulating ball.

4. Pick up the Injector head and M/U same to the CT BOP. Gently Tag the stripper and zero the CT BHA taking
reference at the TH.
5. Open the Master Valve and Swab Valve, counting the number of turns to open the valves. Record the SIWHP.
6. Line up well to take returns through the CT-Tubing Annulus of OB79LS and commence RIH at 5m/min to
20m/TH, without pumping FDW through the Coil Tubing.
7. Close the 3-1/16” Combi BOP pipe/slip rams against the CT pipe and pressure test the CT stack against the
stripper to 1500psi by pumping FDW through the 3-1/16” Combi BOP kill port.
8. Bleed off the CT stack pressure, open the BOP pipe/slip rams and continue to RIH the retainer at 15m/min
maximum without pumping FDW through the Coil Tubing, performing weight checks every 300m. Ensure
the pumps are isolated from the Coil Tubing as a precaution.
9. RIH CT to the cement retainer setting depth at 2580 m/TH. Take up/down weight and record same in DDR.
10. Continue to RIH to 2585m/TH (5m below setting depth) Pick up CT and position PIIP at 2580m/TH. Flag CT.
11. Hold pre-job safety meeting and discuss procedure for launching the ball. Note: It may require moving the
CT reel to allow dropping of the ball, the pull CT to target depth.
12. Break circulation through the Coil with FDW and ensure good return at surface through CT-tubing annulus
13. Position the CT reel to launch the 5/8” steel ball and close the Lo Torque valve at the inlet of the CT reel.
Note:
✓ The Totalenergies Well Supervisor is to confirm the OD of the ball prior to launching same. He should also
witness the launching operation as well.
14. Bleed off any trapped pressure in the coil through the bleed off valve and open the Launch cap
15. Launch the 5/8” steel ball into the coil and apply 2000psi pump pressure downstream of the shut in Lo Torque
valve.
16. Open the Lo Torque valve and immediately resume pumping of FDW at 0.7bpm until the 5/8” steel ball has
passed the gooseneck. Note volume of FDW pumped at this point.
17. Reduce the pump rate to 0.5bpm and continue to push the ball with another 10bbls of FDW. Shut down the
pumps and allow the ball to gravitate to the ball seat of the hydraulic setting tool (wait time should be less
than 45min).
Note:
✓ Monitor circulating pressures closely to avoid pressure spikes thereby shearing the ball seat prematurely
✓ Launch foam into the coil tubing at the reel if the 5/8” steel ball was not able to seat so as to set the packer.
This will help to carry the ball to seat.
18. Commence pumping at minimal rate (0.3bpm) through the coil, pressuring up the CT to 500psi. Hold this
pressure for 1min.
Note:
✓ Preset shear pins (2 steel pins) on the fish neck of the packer will shear @ +/- 383psi (2166lbs) allowing
the setting action to begin

✓ Never bleed off CT pressure once an increase is pressure is observed and the packer setting sequence has
been initiated.
✓ As downward force is being applied to the outside of the packer the same amount of force is being applied
upward on the inside of the packer.
19. Continue to increase the CT pressure steps of 500psi and holding same for 1 minute/increment, until the
shear pins on the shifting piston shear. Set 4,000lbs on the packer and continue to pressure up to 4,800 psi
in 500 psi increments to set the packer. Note: Maintain at least 4,000lbs of stacked weight during the
cementing operations.
• Set down weight of 4000lbs (downhole weight) on the retainer confirms it is properly
anchored to the wall of the 2-7/8” tubing.
20. Line up the OB79LS CT-Tubing Annulus and pressure test the CT back side to 300psi/5min and 750psi/10min
to confirm proper setting of packer. Depressurize test pressure in tubing to 500psi (to remain during slurry
pumping). Note: OB79SS return line to be open to the flow back tank during this test.
Note:
✓ Cement slurry preparation should commence after CT backside pressure tests have been confirm okay. Use
the most recent lab pre-determined and approved recipe.
✓ Line up the batch mixer to pumping unit. Ensure pumping unit is lined up to wellhead.
✓ Take care to avoid contaminants during preparation and pumping.
21. Isolate the OB79LS CT-Tubing Annulus return line and monitor the pressure.
22. With OB79SS valve open to take returns to the flow back tank, pump FDW through the coil at 0.3bpm,
0.5bpm, 0.75bpm, and 1bpm, recording the corresponding pump pressures, return through SS.

6.3.3 Coil Tubing Operation – Preparation and Pumping of Cement Packer

1. Hold pre-job safety meeting on site with all relevant personnel involved in the operation. Review applicable
JRA and lifting plan.
2. Check and verify pH, temperature and chloride contents of base fluids to be used as spacer and cement mix
water prior transfer to Batch mixer. Maximum acceptable chloride level is 1,000ppm. Confirm that the SG of
the mix water is as per design before adding cement.
3. Batch mix 44bbls; 6.99m3 – (factor in required dead-volume in the cement mix volume) of cement slurry in
the Halliburton batch mixers as per approved design (see Appendix 23).
Note:
✓ Validate cement volume with Totalenergies representative on location prior to operations
✓ Take samples of the mix fluid before weighting with cement and also samples of the cement slurry from
the unit.
4. With the cement retainer in place with a set down weight of 4000lbs applied, line up pumps to commence
cement pumping through the coil.
5. Line up pumps to commence cement pumping through the coil.
6. Commence pumping 31bbl (5m3) of cement spacer (5m3 of Fresh Water with 24Ltr/m3 Musol and 19Ltr/m3
Pen-5M surfactants) at 1 – 1.20bpm.
