Management of Change Notice (MoC)

Well Name: OB79 MOC Number: 01 OB79LS Install Actuator on Master Valve Date Raised: 9th July 2022

Original program &

1. OB-79 WSO, Perforation and Screen Installation approved program Rev-03 17th -JUNE-2022
Reference Documents:
This MOC addresses
Description of Change: 1. Conversion of the Master Valve from Manually Operated to a hydraulic Actuated valve

1 Background
A Cement parker placement is currently ongoing on OB79. On completion of this intervention, the well will be
converted to a gas producer. This MOC is to comply to the requirement for an actuated Master valve on an eruptive
gas or high GOR well.
The intervention here proposed will be performed during any window to prior to the planned E-line perforation.

2 Current status:
➢ Coiled Tubing Intervention ongoing

3 Detailed Operational procedure.

3.1 GENERAL INSTUCTION

➢ New ring gasket must be used without oil or grease

✓ The crew must be instructed that the bolts of the flanges are tightened as illustrated below:

▪ At first, four (4) bolts (studs) are tightened with required torque, usually applied with
utilization of the hammer wrench.
▪ Attention must be paid to have an equal gap between lower and upper flanges.
▪ When equal round gap and optimum torque are achieved, the bolts may be tightened.
▪ Operations may be repeated until all four bolts are equally tight.

The rest of bolts are tightened to about same torque as previous four, round the flange
perimeter, either clockwise or anticlockwise direction.
This method reduces the time required for making flange connections and provides equal
torque for all bolts around the flange.

When closing or opening manual gate valves, the gate must not be forced into the seats,
since this action may cause additional seats’ wear and shorten valve’s life.
The best method is to open / close valve until it stops, and then return hand-
wheel about 1/8 of a turn backward.

3.2 INSTALL 3” TWCV AND P/TEST

1. Make up a 3’’ TWCV on the lubricator-running tool, R/U lubricator to the XMT.
2. Pressure test the lubricator against SV to 300psi/5min and 3000psi/5min.Chart record all pressure test.
3. Open XMT, ensure well pressure 0psi.
4. RIH and install the 3’’ TWCV in tubing hanger.
5. POOH and secure well.
6. P/test the 3’’ TWCV to 300/3000psi for 5mins respectively
7. Rig down all WH PCE and pressure test equipment.

3.3 REPLACEMENT OF UMV WITH SSV HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR.

1. Check for trapped pressure on the UMV bonnet.
2. De-flange the UMV bonnet and remove 3’’ gate & seat from the cavity.
3. Clean and inspect cavity ensuring cavity is not pitted.
4. Unscrew the CCU panel cover and remove the panel from the CCU actuator.
5. De-flange the CCU actuator bonnet from the valve body and gently remove the actuator from the valve body.
6. Care should be taken to ensure the actuator gate did not turn to prevent the gate from misaligning when
installed.
7. Install the CCU SEAT in the XMT UMV cavity and install the actuator gate without greasing the bonnet cavity.
8. Make up a 3’’ BPV on a manual dry rod and prob the XMT cavity against the installed actuator gate and confirm
XMT bore ok to the top of LMV.
9. Pull out the actuator if ok and grease the master valve cavity, and then reinstall the actuator on the master valve
and makeup studs and nut.
10. Double confirm new bonnet gasket used and in position

3.4 XMT VALVE PRESSURE TEST.

1. Make up the pressure test equipment to the tree cap and pressure test the XMT cavity to 300/3000psi for
5mins against the 3” TWCV and manual wing valve closed. (Connect a needle valve to the wing valve
companion flange during test and having the needle valve open in case of leakage through the wing valve).
2. Function test actuator and observe for any leak.
3. Close the SSV, bleed the pressure above the valve to 300psi and Inflow test the SSV for 10mins.
• NOTE: (All pressure test must be charted)
4. Equalize XMT cavity pressure, open SSV and bleed down pressure to zero.
5. Rig up wellhead lubricator and retrieve the 3’’ TWCV.
6. R/D wellhead maintenance lubricator from XMT.
7. Continue with right step in the OB-79 WSO, Perforation & Screen Installation approved program Rev-03 17th -
JUNE-2022
