by a patriotic song Pilipinas Kong Mahal conducted by Jennifer Britos.

Thought for the Day given by Vanessa Balosaa and she qouted, “ Listen to advice and
accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future” The message of these verse
is
What will happen if there is no classroom management?
In short, poor classroom management stunts children's social-
emotional development. When they don't face consequences, children
don't learn to regulate their own behavior. When children see their
teacher's attention drained by classmates' misbehavior, they learn that their
own needs don't matter.
MISCONCEPTIONS ON EFFECTIVE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT(
Mistakes/ inaccuracies)

1. NO PLAN-Students who demonstrate poor behavior are often unsure

of how to improve it. Teachers should create action plans that clearly
describe expectations and delineate steps a student can take to be
successful.

What are your plan in ensuring effective classroom management?

Engage as many students as possible in discussion. Don't only
call on students who raise their hand. If a student doesn't know the
answer to a question, move on. After a student answers a question,
ask another student whether he or she agrees with the answer.

2. - Unclear expectation

Teachers should convey their expectations for students on the first day of
school. This means sharing and reviewing rules and procedures for the
classroom, including consequences for infractions. The expectations for
any routines that help facilitate learning. Some teachers opt to create rules
as a class so students take ownership of their responsibilities. Having both
students and parents sign and return a copy of the classroom rules can aid
communication and prevent issues later on.

s
3. Being Inconsistent

Most students, no matter how old, are hyperaware of how consequences

are doled out in the classroom. This means it's incredibly important to be
consistent. If a student notices you meted out discipline for an offense to
one student but not another, students will view you as unfair. Being
consistent with rules conveys an equitable classroom environment to your
students.

Why is it important to set clear expectations in the classroom?

Clear expectations and goals help provide scaffolding for student
academic growth and establish trust between the teacher and student.
When teacher make learning goals and expectations explicit to students,
students are better able to meet those expectations.

Why is consistency important in classroom management?

Consistency helps teachers (and students!) feel more organized and
less stressed. Consistency helps students feel more relaxed and
comfortable in your classroom, which increases participation and
engagement. The more consistent a teacher is, the more trust and respect
students and their parents have for that teacher.

4. Delayed Intervention
 Act immediately and properly
 Know the immediate response
What are some examples of interventions?
Some examples of useful interventions include building relationships,
adapting the environment, managing sensory stimulation, changing
communication strategies, providing prompts and cues, using a teach,
review, and reteach process, and developing social skills.

Good classroom management isn't simply about keeping everyone in

their seats and quiet. It's about building strong relationships with your
students, encouraging them to take part in their own learning, and sharing
a little of yourself. A classroom culture that is good for kids is good for
teachers, too.
Reminders:
Mam Sergio assigned and gave the topic that to be discussed in the next
