General objectives:
i. To enable students to understand the need of DBMS to store large amount of data in organized manner.
ii. To equip students with the ability to analyse and manipulate data stored in databases.
iii. To develop students' ability to analyze real-world scenarios and translate them into efficient database designs and queries.
iii. To cater multiple intelligence.

Specific Objective: i. To ensure students understand the significance of RDBMS.


ii. To enable students to understand the use of MySQL an open source RDBMS.
iii. To make them understand how to store and manipulate data stored in tables using MySQL.

iv. To enable them to understand the categories of SQL commands.


Learning Outcomes: General ( Generic Value based & Subject specific ) –
i. Students will be able to create tables using MySQL.
ii. Students will develop the ability to identify the categories of SQL commands.
iii. Students will be able to use various commands of SQL to create, manipulate and retrieve any type of information from the tables using
MySQL.
Specific –
i. To understand the categories of SQL commands – DDL and DML.
ii. Importance of Keys in RDBMS.
iii. Modify the structure of tables created in MySQL.
iv. Retrieve any type of information from large amount of data stored in tables known as Relations in RDBMS.
v. Update the data stored in tables.
vi. Remove the data and tables permanently when not in use.
