Computers Vs.

Teachers
The Teachers play a crucial role in shaping bright students. If they have any doubts, then the
teachers will rectify and suggest to them the correct solution. But the scenario is changing
because computers or technology is replacing teachers. Now, if the students have any query,
then they prefer electronic gadgets to solve the problems.

Comparing Computers (Technology) and Teachers:

 In schools, colleges, or universities, the teacher acts as the mentors to the students
when they face any issues. After college hours, if they encounter any problem, then the
student has to wait for the next day. But the days are changing day-by-day; the students
with the use of technology get the answers to their questions.
 When you want to learn a new language, then you have to attend the language training
academy. Now, the users are getting the training classes at their fingertips by watching
them on their mobiles or any other gadgets.
 Moreover, the teachers may be experts in a few subjects, but you can get everything
with technology and turn into an expert.
 If you have any doubt, you have to go and meet the teacher concerned to clarify your
doubt. But with the computers, by sitting in one location, you can get all answers to the
questions.
 A library consists of almost 1 Lakh books, but there are huge collections of e-books in
the internet world.
 When compared the teachers with the computers, the technology will not teach the
ethics, way of life, or moral values but the teacher along with the subject can teach how
to live with the moral values, ethics & integrity, and the responsibilities.
 Technology can’t replace teachers because the teacher itself says how to use the
technology in the right way. The best example of this is the calculator cannot replace the
mathematics teacher.
 A teacher can grasp the interest of the students, but the computer cannot find out the
interesting subjects of the students.
 Some of the students can’t afford the fees for their studies; in this case, the technology
will help in preparing their studies.

Some extra Information

Online learning vs teachers

With giant computer screens waiting to replace teachers, many educators are being
bombarded with questions from parents who are worried about their child's future in this era
of rapid innovations. While technology has certainly proven to be a boon in many areas,
counsellor Shreyas Khanna detailed the negatives of it. Khanna, a senior education counsellor
who works with a learning app and has catered to more than 300 sessions with parents says
that it is a tedious task to convince parents as they feel that online learning can never judge a
student's performance better than a teacher at school. "They feel that teaching online in
classrooms or through apps is a waste of time as they are just pre-recorded lectures. They are
way too fast, and the child might get bored, whereas a human teacher can know when the child
is paying attention and when he is not," Khanna said.

Confused parents!

Many parents, however, still have apprehensions about e-learning when it comes to providing
the right kind of education to their children. Faisal Siddiqui, a banker by profession, is not in
Favour of e-learning. These online learning apps cannot develop a child's capability to assess
his own work, feels Faisal. Apart from learning at school, parents usually hire a tutor for their
children who keeps track of their study. "These online apps cannot solve certain queries
whereas a teacher can. Today if my child is facing problems in certain subjects then it will be a
teacher who will easily help her even before the day of the examination rather than a computer
which has fixed programming," the banker explained his preference.

Conclusion:
Finally, I can say a teacher is very important in shaping a good human being by training in moral
values, responsibilities, and way of life. Even technology or computers are also important to
get adequate knowledge of different streams. So, both the teachers and computers are
important for all of us to meet our requirements.
