in Hong Kong.
RIZAL: (Tenderly) Josephine, family needs you now. Your presence brings comfort, even if it means a
temporary absence here.
JOSEPHINE: (Overwhelmed) Your care for my father, your feelings... they touch my heart deeply.
RIZAL: (With conviction) Josephine, I cannot deny the depth of my feelings for you. But duty often tugs
at our hearts, guiding us down different paths.
JOSEPHINE: (Regretful) Doctor Rizal, I must return to Hong Kong. But I fear leaving behind what we've
shared.
RIZAL: (Softly) Josephine, before you leave, there's one thing I must know. Will you return?
JOSEPHINE: (Torn) I wish I could promise, but my father's condition... I cannot foresee the future.
RIZAL: (Resigned yet hopeful) I understand. Life's uncertainties often dictate our choices.
RIZAL: (With a gentle smile) Josephine, our paths may diverge, but the memories we've woven here will

[As Josephine prepares to leave, Rizal watches her with a mixture of fondness and yearning.]

JOSEPHINE: (With conviction) I realized that no distance could diminish the memories we shared, the
warmth I felt in your presence.
RIZAL: (Touched) Your return brings a joy I can scarcely express, Josephine.
JOSEPHINE: (With sincerity) Doctor Rizal, I've thought deeply about what you asked before I left. I'm
here now, ready to embrace what fate might offer.
RIZAL: (Softly) Josephine, your return—it means more than words can convey. It's as if destiny conspires
to reunite us.
JOSEPHINE: (Smiling through emotions) Destiny, perhaps, but more so a heart that couldn't stay away.
RIZAL: (Taking her hand) Josephine, in the ever-changing canvas of life, your return paints a picture of
hope and renewed possibilities.
JOSEPHINE: (Grasping his hand) Doctor Rizal, let's paint our own canvas—where our hearts find refuge
in each other's presence.

[Josephine tries to reach out to him, but Rizal steps back, his frustration evident.]
Rizal: I defended you, stood by your side amidst all the gossip, and this is how you repay me?
Josephine: I didn't go to question our love, Jose. I had questions about my faith, about—
Rizal: Your faith? And you couldn't confide in me? Instead, you choose secrecy, adding fuel to the fire of
rumors that surround us!
Josephine: I never wanted to cause you pain. I thought seeking guidance would spare us both from more
misunderstandings.
Rizal: Misunderstandings?! Josephine, do you not see how this looks? It's not just about your faith; it's
the doubts it raises about us!
[He turns away, struggling to contain his anger.]
Rizal: I can't bear this constant shadow hanging over us, the whispers behind our backs!

himagsikan.
