UNIT 6 Read the Learning Guide to know what you will be studying
STUDYING AND this week.
Read the Introduction page for more explanation about what NOTE-TAKING you’ll be learning. Read Chapters 4 and 5 of your textbook. Ask yourself questions while you read. Take notes on what you don’t understand to think about later. Watch the video on what top students do differently from other students. Read about what Active Reading is. Watch the video on how to Create an Annotation System. Watch the video about different Note-Taking Strategies. Return to Unit 5 to access the three papers you have been assigned to assess. Assessments are counted as part of your overall grade, so do not ignore this task. Read the Discussion Assignment. Go to Unit 6 on the main Course-room page to respond to the post. You will need to write your post, then respond to and grade three peers’ posts afterward. Notice the rubric that is provided for you as you write your post and also grade your peers’ posts. Read the Learning Journal assignment. Determine your learning style from the VARK website. Complete the Learning Journal (LJ) prompt. Complete the APA activity three spaces down from the bottom of your LJ entry (on the same page that you responded on). Take the self-quiz. This quiz is NOT for a grade. It is to reinforce your learning and will help you score higher on the graded quiz in this unit. Take the self-quiz until you make 100%. Take the graded quiz. You only have one opportunity.
