Dear Bowdoin College,

Hello, my name is John Doe, a student who applied to your

school via Early Decision 2 and who was subsequently deferred
to regular round.

I have taken some time to gather my thoughts on what it means to

become an actual student at Bowdoin since I received the
decision. After getting deferred from Bowdoin, I have kept on
visiting your website and watched numerous Bowdoin-related
videos made by admission office, current students, and Bowdoin
alumni.

The truth was inevitable. The more I got to know about your
school (of course, it is never complete unless I attend Bowdoin as
a student), the stronger my conviction that there is no other place
than Bowdoin that I want to call it a home. What started out as
my quest to find a school instead turned into a lifelong journey of
finding and maintaining a home away from home.

As a way to demonstrate my further and continued interest in

attending Bowdoin, I would also like to provide additional
material reflecting one of my proudest memories.

The following newspaper article is an interview of myself as the

champion of nationwide English debating championship. For
your information, I have included both a softcopy of the original
article in Korean and the direct translation of the article in
English.

I hope that this adds another piece of puzzle to the final stage of
my admission decision.

Sincerely,
John Doe
