PINGGANG PINOY
Pinggang Pinoy serves as visual tool to help Filipinos adopt healthy eating habits at
meal times by delivering effective dietary and healthy lifestyle messages.
"Pinggang Pinoy" is a Filipino-specific guide using a food plate model to show the
recommended proportion of food groups in every meal.

FILIPINO FOOD PYRAMID


Pyramid is a simple, trustworthy guide in choosing a healthy diet. It builds from
the base, showing that we should eat more foods from the bottom part of the
pyramid like vegetables, whole grains and less from the top such as red meat,
sugar, fats and oils.

HEALTHY EATING PLATE


The more veggies — and the greater the variety — the better. Potatoes and French
fries don't count. Choose fish, poultry, beans, and nuts; limit red meat and cheese;
avoid bacon, cold cuts, and other processed meats. Eat a variety of whole grains
(like whole-wheat bread, whole-grain pasta, and brown rice).
