CHECK LIST FOR ALL TRUCKS

Inspect all incoming trucks for the following before off-loading:

 The trucks must be covered and closed.


 Seal should be intact, not tampered with.
 Floorboards/pallets are dry and clean.
 No evidence of material spillage.
 Bad odor.
 Make a note of the truck license plate or trailer number.
 Notify the Stores in-charge and QA of any issues.
 Unload the shipment to de-dusting area and inspect the condition of the
shipment to ensure:
 All products are on clean pallets/floor boards.
 No damaged packages.
 Count the goods and compare the quantity, name, and lot numbers to the
information stated on the shipping documents and company purchase order
(PO). Investigate any discrepancies.
 Complete the off-loading sheet
 Pass the PO with all relevant information to the stores In-charge.
 Check the delivery note against the goods delivered for description and
quantity of the goods delivered.
 Stores In-charge issues intimation slip to QC department.
 QC samples out the goods as per sampling procedure.
 Once the goods are acceptable a releasing order is issued to transfer the
materials from quarantine to raw material store for storage.
Outgoing trucks checkpoints:

 Verify the status of transporter truck provided against the truck ordered.
 Check that the transporter is approved by authorization personnel.
 Check the truck capacity against goods to be loaded.
 Check the goods loaded are as per the order .i.e. quantity, name of product,
lot numbers.
 Ensure that the total gross weight of the goods doesn’t exceed the tare
weight of the lorry.
 No damaged products are loaded.
 The truck should be leak proof.
 Floorboards/pallets must be clean and dry.
 No bad odor.
 Make note of the truck license plate/trailer number.
 Should have a seal to be broken when offloading.
 Complete the loading sheet/ log book.
 Ensure that the product description and quantity on the delivery note
confirms with what has been loaded.
 Ensure the transporter has all the necessary documents, .i.e. invoice, COAs
before departure.
