1). eCitizen portal is an example of the following innovations:

A. eCitizen Portal is an example of Process Innovation. Because it transformed the outdated and
manual interactions between the people of Singapore and the government services into an
online and automated process. By doing this, it streamlined and modernized the interactions
process between the people and business community and its government.

B. eCitizen Portal is an example of Disruptive Innovation. It resulted in a Low-end disruptive

innovation since the use of the internet to access government services has forced the public and
business establishments to use these services instead of manually going to the branches and
doing their transactions. Eventually, most of the government service needs are done efficiently
through the eCitizen Portal.

C. eCitizen Portal is an example of Product/Service Innovation. Government services and their

processes were already in existence long before the internet and E-commerce were developed.
By putting them on the internet, it allowed the people and business to search the services easily,
it streamlined the processes so that it can be done quickly and it saved the people time and
money because it avoided having to go to the locations physically.

2). PepsiCo became the leading beverage and food company in New York.

A. PepsiCo is an example of Process Innovation because it transformed its distribution and

logistics management operations by changing its distribution methods. By switching from the old
method of Plant-to-Distributor to the Direct Store Delivery System that can get their products
quicker to the display cases and into the consumer’s hands.

B. PepsiCo is an example of Disruptive Innovation because it revolutionizes the industry’s old

method of distributing from the standard way (Factory - Distributors - Retailer) to the more
efficient Direct-Store-Delivery thus eliminating the middleman.

C. PepsiCo is an example of Service Innovation because it chose the more direct way of providing
their products and services more efficiently to their consumers by streamlining their distribution
methods and thus getting their products quicker to the market.
