film production originates from my hobbies in videography and photography whilst living in
Qatar. I love capturing cinematic moments and places. Hence, a career in film production
would be a perfect career path for me. I frequently research online for influential artists,
photographers and videographers who currently inspire me, such as Harnett Media,
Billydee, Qmike and itsnedkelly.
My favourite style of filmmaking and photography incorporates travel, cars and landscapes.
I enjoy using different film stock and styles including the use of Kentmire X-Pan 400, Cinestill
and Kodak Gold in my photography while exploring picturesque spots around Dorset on my
motorbike.
During my studies, I have developed my skills using softwares such as Premiere Pro; After
Effects; Photoshop and Lightroom Classic; Animate and Cinema 4D. I am comfortable editing
videos, audios and photography using the above softwares and was recently nominated by
the lecturing staff to be the principal photographer at a live speaking event for an external
agency.
Furthermore, I have worked on developing my skills in the following areas: research and
analysis; report writing; pre-production essay writing; script writing; creating storyboards;
camera operation; high quality composition; use of colour; use of professional lighting; post-
production video editing and advertising/self-promotion. Key to my learning is working in
collaboration with other students and where applicable with the clients.
Overall, I believe that my strengths, experiences and studying the creative media course at
BPC has provided me with a firm foundation for future studies. I am keen to broaden my
freelance opportunities and I believe your degree course will make this possible for me. I am
mostly looking forward to collaborating with other students such as videographers,
scriptwriters, actors, fashion and set designers to produce film and TV content.
