10 AIR FILTER st 10.1 Removingthe aicfiter Note Engine failure Unfiltered intake air has a negative effect on the service life of the engine, = Never operate the vehicle without an air filter as dust and dirt will enter the engine and lead to increased weer. Preparatory work = Remove the seat. (* p. 53) Main work — Unhook the air filter holder @ and swing it to the side. Remove the air filter with ‘the air filter support. = Remove the ai filter from the air filter support. Main work = Mount the clean air filter onto the air filter support. = Grease the air filter in area @. Danger Fire hazard Fuel is highly flammable, = Never refuel the vehicle near open flames or burning cigarettes, and always switch off the engine first. Be careful that no fuel is spilt, especially on hot vehicle components. Clean up spilt fuel immediately. = The fuel in the fuel tank expands when warm and may emerge if overflled. Follow the instructions on refueling. Warning Danger of poisoning Fuel is poisonous and a health hazard, = Fuel must not come into contact with the skin, eyes, or clothing. Do not breathe in the fuel vapors. If contact occurs with the eyes, rinse with water immediately and contact a physician. Immediately clean contaminated areas on the skin with ‘soap and water. If fuel is swallowed, contact a physician immediately. Change clothing that has been contaminated with fuel. Store fuel properly ina suitable canister and keep away from children. Remove the front fender. ~ Position the fender with holding lugs @ into the drill holes on the start number plate. ~ Poston the fon fender. Mount and tighten screws @. Remove the start number plate. ~ Position the start number plate with the drill holes onto the holding lugs @ of the fender. 12 MASK, FENDER ~ Mount and tignten screw @ Guideline 97 Remaining screws, chassis MG TO Nm (7.4 Tot FD) ~ Position the brake line, Put the clamp on, mount and tighten screw @
