Warm-up Stages

Show flashcards. Class name Mr, Jolly. Point to parts 5m By the end of this lesson
of the pictures. Ask "What colour is it?" students will be able to say the
sounds /æ/, /m/, /h/, and /t/.

Activity 1 15m Strategies Applied


Three children hold cards for /h/, /æ/, and /t/. Stand
them in a line facing the class, with a space between Role playing
them. Point and say each sound. Class says the Discovery by learning
sound with you.
Communicative Approach
Move the children closer. Point to each card and say
the sounds with fewer pauses. Keep doing this until Group Work
the cards touch and the class says the whole word.
Pair work
Repeat with cat and mat.
Presentation

Activity 2
Ask who or what are in the pictures. Play CD1 track
37. Class listens.
Read each line, and class repeats.
Children point in their books, say each phoneme 10m Aids & Materials
and the word.
