12V Switching
Power Supply
* Less expensive to order directly from Tru Catch, but when Amazon has
them in stock, shipping is free and FAST
* Requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi source for pairing; set to 0.5 second inching in
eWeLink smartphone app,
* Any standard 12V power supply will work to power the switch (which
drives the actuator). Any standard 5V USB power supply will work for
the Wi-Fi hotspot. This battery pack happens to have both. In general,
the more expensive the battery, the longer it will last.
* Any 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi source should work. For newer hotspots that
support both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz, the 5 GHz mode must be turned OFF
for pairing.
* 18-gauge wire is total overkill for this purpose, but I find these easier to
work with.
* Any household container will work, but these are my favorite. I drill
holes in the side for the input and output wires.
