UNIT 7: WHERE WE LIVE

1. WE LIVE IN DIFFERENT PLACES: CITIES, TOWNS AND

VILLAGES.

 We all live or inhabit a place, so we are inhabitants.

 We can live in a city, in a town or in a village.

3. AREAS OF A CITY
 A city is constantly changing and growing and new
neighbourhoods are being built.
 There are three main areas in a city:

 The city centre is the oldest part of a city.

 The streets are usually narrow, and the
buildings are short and old.
 We can find here the city hall, churches and
monuments.
 There is usually a train station near the city
centre.
  The modern neighbourhoods is the new part of the
city.
 It has wide streets, lots of homes, offices and
shops.
 The buildings are new and tall.
 The outskirts is the part of the city where industrial
states and factories are located.
 There is lots of space to build new buildings.
 The airport is located here.
