Position Paper

Chester R. Arce
TVL 12-Edison

Topic: Petition to prepare an arts festival in school

School: Dulag National High School

Delegate: Chester R. Arce

To the School Administration:

On behalf of the student council, I am writing this position paper to argue for the

establishment of a two-day arts festival at our school. We believe hosting this event would provide

tremendous educational and social benefits for our students that align with the school's mission.

First of all, an arts festival would allow students to showcase their talents and hard work in

the arts. Our school has an excellent fine arts program, with many students participating in music,

drama, visual arts, and dance. An arts festival would give these dedicated students a platform to

perform and display their creations for the school and community. This would provide them with a

sense of pride and accomplishment.

Second, organizing and hosting an arts festival would give students valuable real-world skills.

Those helping to plan the event would gain practical experience in organization, management,

marketing, budgeting, and teamwork. Students participating would develop confidence and public

speaking abilities. These are skills that will serve them well now and in their future careers.

Lastly, an arts festival would allow for a meaningful celebration of the diversity of our student

body. Students from all grades, cultures, and interests would contribute their unique talents. This
would promote cultural awareness and show what we can achieve when we come together. The

festival would be a unifying communal experience.

we believe using two days of class time to host a student arts festival would provide

tremendous educational, social, and community benefits that justify the time investment. We hope

the administration will partner with us to make this enriching event a reality. Thank you for your

consideration.
