DOGZILLA

The visual techniques I used are the great contrasting colors of red text to make Dogzilla stand out
from the dark, ruined background. I also placed Dogzilla in the direct center of the poster so people’s
eye will immediately draw their attention to Dogzilla when they first look at it. I also made Dogzilla
to be a little bit brighter than the rest of the background. The poster also has very subtle vector lines
on the sideways highways and the dank tunnel Dogzilla is laying in. The sky-scrapers also lead up to
the title of the movie which creates more vector lines and make the viewer's eyes instinctively look
at the title. The car's headlights also point to Dogzilla which makes him stand out even more. the
Japanese words also act as a border around the actual poster and eager viewers can translate it into
English. I believe that the movie will be very successful because Godzilla is very widely known in the
science fiction community about so a comedic spin-off will be very appealing to people and in these
times, everyone needs a good laugh. I chose Dwayne Johnson as the character that is human
(obviously Dogzilla is the main character) because he has incredible variety and he is also a very
sought out actor and he alone will attract his own fan base. The comedic action by a dog sniffing the
town and being unaware by the building he has destroyed paired with the serious action when they
are trying to revert it back to a normal, pet-size dog by collecting the antidote from the antagonist,
creates a great atmosphere that can be thoroughly enjoyed by a wild range of audiences form teens
to children and adults, science fiction lovers and thrillers, Dogzilla will be a perfect combination
between comedy and action.
