2.1. Latest versions of specialist materials data

Access the latest environmental data in MaterialUniverse™ and Elements, plus the most up-to-date versions of
Nations of the World and Global Polymers Plastics.

2.1.1. Environmental data

Updates to Embodied Energy and CO2 Footprint data are now available in the MaterialUniverse™ and Elements data
tables.
• An extensive update of the embodied energy and CO2 footprint data has been performed incorporating the latest
values from version 3.9.1 of ecoinvent. The impacted attributes are:
º Embodied energy, primary production (virgin grade)
º Embodied energy, primary production (typical grade)
º CO2 footprint, primary production (virgin grade)
º CO2 footprint, primary production (typical grade)

2.1.2. Nations of the World

Part of the Level 2 and Level 3 Sustainability databases
Updates have been made to the "Ongoing conflict?" attribute in the Nations of the World data table. Find updated
information on which countries are currently considered to be in a state of conflict according to the Uppsala Conflict
Data Program (UCDP), data which is recognized by the United Nations.

2.1.3. Global Polymers Plastics

Included in the Level 3 Polymer database
New attributes and data have been introduced to the Global Polymers Plastics database:
1. New data from specific producers including:
• Sabic (50+ new material records, including various LEXAN™, NORYL™ and ULTEM™ grades)
• Kuraray (15+ new material records, including Genestar™, KURARITY™, PARAPET™ and Vecstar™ grades)
• Mocom (20+ new material records, including various ALCOM®, ALTECH® and TEDUR® grades)
2. New data from Ansys materials testing for stress relaxation behaviour. Both raw test data and simulation ready
data for this behaviour is now available in Global Polymers Plastics for the following records:
• Terluran® GP-22 | ABS
• Delrin® 525GR NC000 | Acetal (POM) Homopolymer
• Delrin® 100 NC010 | Acetal (POM) Homopolymer
• Makrolon® 2407 | PC
3. New non-linear data for some key attributes:
